I had the absolute honor of being allowed to share a couple edtech app recommendations on the latest amazing podcast, The House of EdTech Podcast hosted by Mr. Chris Nesi, or as I refer to him, EdTech Guru!
This podcast contains a wealth of information that will satisfy any edtech lover’s desire to learn. The two apps I share are ones that I cannot say enough about. They have changed the way I reach and inspire my reluctant readers. As a reading specialist, I have sought for the answer to my question, “How do I empower and engage my reluctant readers?” I found it with these two apps!
DoInk Green Screen
Classkick is offered as an ios app and as a web based tool. Either way Classkick allows you to create lessons with embedded links, audio, text, and images. The best part is you can provide real time assistance and feedback to students within seconds. It is extremely powerful and if you haven’t heard of it take a moment to check it out. You will thank yourself for doing so! By the way…it is absolutely FREE!
DoInk Green Screen is only offered as an ios app, but totally changed the way I teach and assess my students! Green screen technology allows my students to create fully engaging images and videos allowing students to layer images over images. The images aren’t the only thing being layered. The depth of understanding can take on many layers showing students and myself a true picture of students’ understandings. This app changed they way I teach and my students learn. It is absolutely amazing! This app comes at the low price of $2.99!
